DIGI, the telecommunications operator of the DIGI Communications Group in Spain, has fully rolled out its television service, DIGI TV, which is now available to sign up for in all provinces across Spain.

The operator began rolling out its TV service progressively last December, strengthening its commitment to offering customers the services they need.

As a result, from today, all fibre customers can access more than 100 channels from leading international content providers such as Disney, Warner, AMC, Sony and SkyShowtime, enjoying films, series, sports, documentaries, entertainment, music and national and international news from €17 per month as part of a combined TV and fibre package.

The operator has also introduced several improvements to help customers make the most of its TV service.

Improvements to DIGI’s TV service

Set-top box with antenna input

DIGI has introduced a new set-top box, the R2A model, featuring a more advanced remote control with numeric buttons for quicker channel selection, access to the DIGI TV programme guide, and controls to pause, stop, play, fast-forward and rewind content.

This set-top box also includes an antenna input, allowing users to tune in to additional DTT channels.

New feature: casting content to Smart TVs

In addition to existing features such as watching content from the past 7 days or restarting any programme from the beginning, DIGI has introduced a new feature that allows customers to cast what they are watching from their mobile device (smartphone or tablet) to their Smart TV. This means that, in addition to watching content on their TV screen, they can also control playback and volume, among other settings, directly from their mobile device.

DIGI TV app now available on all devices

The DIGI TV app can be downloaded on the following devices via their respective app stores:

• Samsung, LG and Android TVs compatible with the app: available in their respective app stores.

• Android smartphones and tablets: available on Google Play.

• iPhone, iPad and tvOS: available on the App Store.

• Amazon Fire TV: available on the Amazon App Store.

Customers can check whether their device is compatible with the app on the DIGI website.

How customers can enjoy DIGI TV

DIGI customers need to have one of the operator’s fibre plans in order to access the TV service at home.

The DIGI TV service can be signed up for via the operator’s website , at any of its retail outlets or by phone by calling 1200 free of charge from the DIGI network, or 642 642 642 from another operator. They can also get in touch via chat or WhatsApp.

For existing fibre customers, DIGI TV can be added for €7 per month via Mi DIGI, by calling 1200 free of charge or at any of the operator’s retail outlets.

The company will continue working to introduce ongoing improvements to the service, add more channels and offer the best possible value to customers.
