For this reason, it integrates ESG (“Environmental, Social and Governance”) criteria into the core of its operating strategy.
Circular economy
It implements measures to minimize the waste generated and to reintroduce them into the cycle for subsequent uses. Therefore, DIGI recycles waste through specialized companies in the sector that certify their reuse or disposal.
Waste and packaging management
DIGI works with authorized waste managers responsible for handling the waste generated in its activities. These waste managers are required to dispose of the waste in an environmentally responsible manner and deliver it to specific facilities. As evidence of this, they guarantee the proper treatment of those materials.
Energy efficiency
It achieves greater energy efficiency in the deployment of its fibre‑optic networks by sharing non‑electronic elements, such as towers and physical sites, which require very little electricity. In addition, by deploying its mobile network under a RAN Sharing model, DIGI avoids additional electricity consumption.
Mobility
DIGI optimizes its vehicle fleet toward more fuel‑efficient and lower‑emission models —introducing more electric, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid vehicles— in order to reduce its carbon footprint.
