DIGI surpasses one million number portabilities in the first seven months of the year

DIGI Spain (DIGI), the telecommunications operator of the DIGI Communications Group in Spain, has surpassed one million number transfers through July. Specifically, the operator has recorded over 1,049,800 number portings in the first seven months of the year, representing an increase of over 14% compared to the same period in 2025.

Regarding the data for July, DIGI registered over 139,000 ports, of which more than 119,000 correspond to mobile lines. DIGI also recorded over 19,800 fixed-line portings.

With these figures, the operator has now recorded over 100,000 monthly line changes for 23 consecutive months (since September 2024).

DIGI has over 11.4 million active services in Spain according to the latest results report published by the company at the close of the first quarter of 2026. Specifically, over 7.58 million customers had mobile phone service; more than 2.75 million customers enjoyed fibre optic service, making it the third largest operator in terms of fibre optic customers in the residential segment; more than 867,000 had fixed-line telephone service; and more than 217,000 had TV service.

Service quality, improved services, and job creation

DIGI, the fourth largest fixed and mobile telecommunications operator in Spain, maintains its commitment to offering its customers quality services at competitive prices, listening to their suggestions to implement service improvements, taking into account their real needs.

In this regard, the company invested €119 million in the first quarter of 2026, 35% more than the previous year, to execute its plan to deploy next-generation ultra-fast fibre optic networks, and also to implement its own mobile network, with the aim of offering increasingly better services to its customers.

According to data from the first quarter of 2026, DIGI's SMART fibre network reached more than 14.2 million homes. This network was once again recognized as 'Spain's Fastest Fibre Network' in the first half of 2026 by the prestigious Speedtest Awards™ from Ookla®, and has now held the title of the fastest nationwide for over five years.

Furthermore, since May, the operator has included a Wi-Fi 7 router with new sign-ups for its 750 Mbps and 1 Gbps SMART Fibre services. This provides customers with improved wireless coverage, faster speeds, lower latency, and greater capacity to connect multiple devices simultaneously, stably, and efficiently.

DIGI has also just added video on demand (VOD) to its television service at no extra cost to its customers, who now enjoy more than 2,000 titles across a wide range of categories, including movies, series, programs, documentaries, and other entertainment formats.

The operator, which is already the second largest in terms of employees, conducts all business activities directly with its own staff, offering job security and career development opportunities for all its employees. DIGI currently employs more than 11,700 people in Spain.
