DIGI, the telecommunications operator of the DIGI Communications Group in Spain, and Athletic Club have signed an agreement under which the company will continue as the Club’s Official Sponsor for the next two seasons, bringing their partnership to a total of six seasons with the Basque club.
Through this agreement, DIGI renews its support for the men’s and women’s first teams and extends its presence to Athletic Club Fundazioa, which competes in LaLiga Genuine, and Bilbao Athletic, the Club’s reserve team playing in Primera Federación. In all cases, the operator’s logo will remain on the back of the shirts.
Head of Marketing and Communications, Daniel Campillo: “We are delighted to have reached this agreement, through which we renew our support for Athletic Club, marking six consecutive seasons of collaboration and close connection with the Club’s supporters. This allows us to strengthen our ties not only with the city, but also with all our customers in Bizkaia.”
Athletic Club President Jon Uriarte thanked DIGI for its renewed support and said he was “proud” of their long-standing partnership: “With this agreement, we will have spent more than five years together and we are also very pleased to include DIGI in this renewal across our Genuine team and our men’s reserve team.”
DIGI is present in Bizkaia with its SMART fibre network, which reaches more than 69% of households, and with its PRO-DIGI fibre service, offering speeds of up to 10 Gbps, the fastest residential service in the country.
In addition, the company has six DIGI Stores across the province and more than 280 employees as of the end of the third quarter of 2025.
