DIGI, the telecommunications operator of the DIGI Communications Group in Spain, reported revenues of over €252 million in the first quarter of 2026, a 17% increase compared to the same period of the previous year. Adjusted EBITDA (excluding operating leases) reached €51 million, a 47% increase compared to the same quarter of 2025.
The operator invested a total of €119 million in the first three months of the year, 35% more than in 2025. This investment was primarily allocated to the execution of its next-generation, ultra-fast fiber optic network deployment plan, as well as the acquisition of mobile spectrum and the implementation of its own mobile network.
Furthermore, DIGI confirmed that its XGS-PON technology deployment has now reached 95% of the company's network coverage in Spain. In total, DIGI now boasts SMART fiber coverage reaching over 14.2 million homes passed, thanks to the deployment of more than 570,000 homes passed during this quarter.
Likewise, the operator has achieved mobile network coverage of over 900 nodes in service at the end of this period.
In the words of DIGI Spain's CEO, Marius Varzaru: “These results confirm our ability to grow consistently, allowing us to continue creating value for our customers and shareholders. We continue to drive a business model that strengthens Spain's position as a leading country in digital infrastructure, while also creating quality jobs in the sector, which fills us with great satisfaction.”
DIGI's financial results in Spain have just been published in the quarterly report produced by DIGI Communications NV, considered one of the fastest-growing operators in Europe. Present in Romania, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, and the United Kingdom, DIGI offers internet, mobile and landline telephony, and cable and satellite television services.
Commercial Results
The report also highlights that the number of mobile and fixed-line portings the operator registered in the first three months of the year has achieved its best quarter ever with more than 492,000 ports. This represents an increase of more than 22% compared to the same period last year and 1% compared to the previous quarter (October-December 2025), which had previously been the company's best quarter for number porting.
Thus, DIGI added more than 586,000 customers during the first quarter. These figures have led the company to reach more than 11.4 million customers across all its services (a 26% increase compared to the previous year).
Specifically, more than 7.58 million customers had mobile phone service in March, representing an increase of more than 1.3 million customers in the first quarter compared to the same period of the previous year.

Commitment to Employment
DIGI, the second largest operator in terms of employees, maintains its commitment to both network deployment and employment. The operator, which integrates the entire value chain, carries out all its business activities directly with its own employees, offers a stable career path, and fosters career development opportunities for all its staff.
As of the end of March, DIGI had over 11,700 directly employed professionals, including infrastructure personnel for the deployment of its own fiber network and its own call centers.
