DIGI reports more than €445 million in revenue in the first half of 2025, up 20% year-on-year

DIGI, the telecommunications operator of the DIGI Communications Group in Spain, generated more than €445 million in revenue in the first half of 2025, representing a 20% increase compared to the previous year.

It also reported gross profit (EBITDA) of €82.7 million, maintaining the level reached in the same period of 2024.

The operator also invested €169 million in the first six months of the year to carry out its plan to roll out next-generation ultra-fast fibre networks, as well as to deploy its own mobile network, which began operations on 1 July.

DIGI’s financial results in Spain have just been published in the quarterly report issued by DIGI Communications NV, considered one of the fastest-growing operators in Europe, with operations in Romania, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Belgium, offering fixed and mobile telephony, internet, cable and satellite TV services, as well as electricity services.

Commercial performance

DIGI recorded more than 792,000 line switches in the first half of the year, a record for the period, and more than 533,000 net porting transactions, 6% higher than in 2024. Thanks to its investment in expanding fibre networks with SMART coverage, the operator also achieved its best-ever figure for net fibre customer additions in this period, with more than 315,000.

As a result, DIGI added more than 1,222,000 customers in the first six months of the year. These figures bring the company to more than 9,660,000 customers by business unit at the end of the first half of 2025, a 29% increase compared to the previous year.

Specifically, by the end of June more than 6.58 million customers had mobile services, more than 2.26 million had fibre services, more than 723,000 had fixed-line services and more than 90,000 had television services, following the addition of more than 724,000, 315,000, 97,000 and 86,000 customers respectively during the period.

Following the launch of DIGI TV in December 2024, during the first six months of 2025 the operator expanded its TV service coverage across Spain, launched the Sports Pack and increased its basic channel offering by more than 50 channels. It also improved its IlimiTODO plan, with unlimited calls and data, reducing the price per line as more lines are added, and introduced further improvements to its mobile plans and pricing for IlimiTODO.

During this period, DIGI also surpassed 50 company-owned stores across Spain, all staffed by employees directly hired by the company, helping to foster closer contact and direct interaction with customers, as they increasingly demand.

Commitment to employment

DIGI, the second-largest operator by number of employees, remains committed not only to investing in network rollout, but also to job creation. The operator, which manages the entire value chain, carries out all core business activities in-house, offering stable employment and supporting career development for all its employees.

By the end of the first half of the year, DIGI had more than 9,600 professionals directly employed, including infrastructure staff responsible for deploying its own fibre network, as well as its own call centres.
