DIGI Spain (DIGI), the telecoms operator of the DIGI Communications Group in Spain, reported revenue of over 515 million euros in the first half of 2026, representing a 16% increase compared with the same period last year, and achieved an Adjusted EBITDA ex-Operating Leases of 104 million, marking a 48% increase compared with the same half of 2025.
The operator invested a total of 205 million euros in the first six months of the year, 36% more than in the same period of 2025. This investment has been directed primarily towards the implementation of its plan to roll out high-capacity fibre-optic networks, through which it aims to connect up to 21 million Building Units Passed (BUP’s) with SMART fibre by 2030, and towards its own mobile network, which will comprise up to 10,000 base stations by 2033.
In the words of Marius Varzaru, CEO of DIGI Spain: “This half-year’s results reflect the strength of our business model and our ability to continue growing through investment in network roll-out. We have achieved our highest-ever figure for new SMART fibre customers. This has in turn boosted take-up of bundled services, reaching over 11.9 million active services, which reinforces our position as a leading operator in the sector. This growth, driven in particular by the expansion of our SMART fibre customer base, confirms the positive reception of our value proposition across the full range of services provided by DIGI.
We would like to thank all our customers for placing their trust in DIGI as their service provider, thereby driving our growth.”

Additionally, the Operator already has 1,363 active nodes as of June, corresponding to its mobile network, which began deployment in July 2025.
Among the milestones achieved by the operator in the first half of the year are the launch of PRO-DIGI in the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands, offering speeds of up to 10 Gbps, the inclusion of Wi-Fi 7 across its entire SMART fibre offering, and the opening of its 100th shop nationwide.
Commitment to employment
DIGI, the second-largest operator in terms of number of employees, remains committed to investing in network roll-out, whilst also prioritising employment. The operator, which covers the entire value chain, carries out all its core business activities directly using its own workforce, offers a stable working environment and promotes career development for all its employees.
In total, at the end of June, DIGI had over 11,900 directly employed staff, including infrastructure personnel for the roll-out of its own fibre network and staff at its own call centres.
