DIGI registers over 776,000 number portabilities through May, 16% more than in the same period of 2025

DIGI, the telecommunications operator of the DIGI Communications Group in Spain, recorded over 776,000 number transfers from January to May, representing an increase of over 16% compared to the same period last year.

Regarding the data for May, DIGI recorded over 138,700 ports, of which more than 117,800 were mobile lines, with over 48,700 of those being net portings. DIGI also registered over 20,800 landline portings, of which more than 16,700 were net portings.

With these figures, the operator has now recorded seven consecutive quarters (twenty-one consecutive months, since September 2024) with over 100,000 monthly line switches.

DIGI enjoys the trust of more than 11.4 million customers in Spain for all its services, according to the latest results report published by the company at the close of the first quarter of 2026. Specifically, more than 7.58 million customers had mobile phone service; More than 2.75 million customers enjoyed fiber optic service, making it the third largest operator in terms of fiber optic customers in the residential segment; more than 867,000 had a fixed-line telephone service; and more than 217,000 had a TV subscription.

Service Quality and Employee Engagement

DIGI, the fourth largest fixed and mobile telecommunications operator in Spain, Remains committed to offering its customers quality services at competitive prices, listening to their suggestions to implement service improvements, taking into account their actual needs.

In this regard, starting this May, the operator includes a Wi-Fi 7 router with new subscriptions for its 750 Mbps and 1 Gbps SMART Fiber services. This provides customers with better wireless coverage, faster speeds, lower latency, and greater capacity to connect multiple devices simultaneously, stably, and efficiently to the network.

In total, the company invested €119 million in the first quarter of 2026, 35% more than the previous year, to implement its next-generation, ultra-fast fiber optic network deployment plan and its own mobile network, which began in the second half of 2025. DIGI currently operates a SMART fiber network, reaching more than 14.2 million homes with over 900 nodes in service.

The operator, which is already the second largest in Spain in terms of employees, conducts all business activities directly with its own staff, offers job security, and fosters career development opportunities for all its employees. DIGI currently employs more than 11,700 people in Spain.
