Fourth-largest landline and mobile operator in Spain
DIGI closed 2024 as the fourth-largest fixed and mobile operator in Spain, according to data from the Spanish Markets and Competition Commission (CNMC), in a year in which it introduced 5G services, allowing customers with compatible devices to enjoy maximum speed and quality in their mobile communications, as well as technologies such as VoLTE and VoWiFi, which also enhance call quality.
In terms of fibre services, and thanks to the investment DIGI has made in its own fibre network over the past six years, the company launched a new 300 Mbps SMART Fibre plan for €10 per month and also enhanced its 500 Mbps SMART Fibre plan by increasing speeds to 600 Mbps at no additional cost. Its own network, deployed using state-of-the-art technology, has also enabled the operator to receive the “Fastest Fibre Network in Spain” award at the prestigious Ookla® Speedtest Awards™ for three consecutive years.
The operator also increased the data allowances included in all its contract and prepaid mobile plans, improved pricing on some of them, and merged its “DIGI Ilimitado” and “DIGI Combo” plans, so that the updated plans include unlimited national calls and international minutes to more than 50 destinations at the same price.
To complete its best possible offering, the operator launched DIGI TV, its television service with more than 100 channels covering films, series, sports, documentaries, entertainment and more for €7 per month, allowing customers to enjoy a combined TV and fibre package for €17 per month, strengthening its commitment to offering the services its customers demand.
