DIGI records more than 96,000 net porting transactions in October, its best figure to date, and also achieves a new monthly record by exceeding 184,600 line switches

DIGI, the telecommunications operator of the DIGI Communications Group in Spain, broke all its historical records for monthly growth in porting transactions in October. The most significant milestone was surpassing its previous record for net porting transactions, with more than 96,000. The previous record had dated back to March.

In total, the operator recorded more than 184,600 porting transactions in the tenth month of the year, representing growth of more than 43% compared to October 2024 and exceeding the previous record, set in September of this same year, by more than 28,700 transactions. Of these line switches, more than 157,000 were mobile porting transactions, also an all-time monthly record for the company.

For landline porting transactions, the company also achieved its best-ever result in October, with more than 27,000 line switches. It also surpassed its record for net porting transactions: 22,000.

DIGI, which has now recorded fourteen consecutive months exceeding 100,000 monthly porting transactions, accumulated more than 1,369,000 line switches from January to October, 22% more than those recorded in the first ten months of 2024. This figure also means it has already exceeded by more than 17,000 the total number of porting transactions recorded in the whole of 2024.

In that period (January to October), the operator accumulated more than 853,600 net porting transactions, an 11% increase compared to the same period last year.

At the end of the first half of 2025, DIGI was trusted by more than 9.66 million customers in Spain, according to the latest results report published by the company. Specifically, more than 6.58 million customers used its mobile service, more than 2.26 million subscribed to its fibre service and more than 723,000 used its landline service as of the end of June. More than 90,000 customers were also already using DIGI TV, its television service with more than 120 channels, available nationwide.

Close to its customers

DIGI, the fourth-largest landline and mobile telecommunications operator in Spain, continues to strengthen its commitment to customers by offering high-quality services at competitive prices, taking on board their feedback to implement improvements based on their actual needs.

During the same month of October, the operator opened its third customer service centre in Valencia, which will create more than 150 jobs in the coming months in the city, adding to the two centres it already operates in Madrid and Seville.

Located on Calle Guillem de Castro in Valencia and with a surface area of 450 m2, this new customer service space has been designed to provide more efficient management and enhance the overall customer experience for DIGI users.

Investment and commitment to employment

The company invested €169 million in the first six months of the year to carry out its plan to roll out next-generation ultrafast fibre optic networks, as well as to deploy its own mobile network, which was launched on 1 July. The operator’s SMART fibre network now reaches more than 12.5 million households.

DIGI, now the second-largest employer in the sector, carries out all its business activities in-house, offering job stability and supporting career development for all its employees. The company currently has more than 10,000 employees in Spain.
