DIGI, the telecommunications operator of the DIGI Communications Group in Spain, achieved in September its best-ever monthly growth figure in fixed broadband, with more than 70,000 net additions to its fibre customer base.
In the same month, it also surpassed its previous monthly record for porting transactions for the fourth time this year, reaching more than 155,900, an increase of more than 44% compared to the same month last year. Of these line switches, more than 133,000 correspond to mobile porting transactions, also an all-time monthly record for the company.
DIGI, which has now recorded thirteen consecutive months exceeding 100,000 monthly porting transactions, registered more than 392,000 porting transactions in the third quarter of the year, representing an increase of more than 33% compared to the same quarter of 2024.
In the first nine months of the year, the operator accumulated more than 1,184,000 porting transactions, 19% more than those recorded in the same period of 2024. In total, DIGI recorded more than 757,000 net porting transactions from January to September.
At the end of the first half of 2025, DIGI was trusted by more than 9.6 million customers in Spain, according to the latest results report published by the company. Specifically, more than 6.58 million customers used its mobile service, more than 2.26 million subscribed to its fibre service and more than 723,000 used its landline service as of the end of June. More than 90,000 customers were also already using DIGI TV, its television service with more than 100 channels, available nationwide.
Close to its customers
DIGI, the fourth-largest landline and mobile telecommunications operator in Spain, continues to strengthen its commitment to customers by offering high-quality services at competitive prices, taking on board their feedback to implement improvements based on their actual needs.
In the month of September, the operator increased the speed of its fibre in its 300 Mb symmetrical plans, which now become 500 Mb at the same price, and its 600 Mb symmetrical plan (which reaches 750 Mb with no price increase), and has once again improved the price of its IlimiTODO plan, reducing it by up to 25%, thereby reinforcing its commitment to listening to its customers in order to continue improving.
Investment and commitment to employment
The company invested €169 million in the first six months of the year to carry out its plan to roll out next-generation ultrafast fibre optic networks, as well as to deploy its own mobile network, which was launched on 1 July. The operator’s SMART fibre network now reaches more than 12.5 million households.
DIGI, now the second-largest employer in the sector, carries out all its business activities in-house, offering job stability and supporting career development for all its employees. The company currently has more than 10,000 employees in Spain.
