DIGI organizes two recruitment days in Biscay to fill 30 vacancies for sales staff and installers—with or without prior experience—including an initial training plan

DIGI Spain (DIGI), the telecommunications operator of the DIGI Communications Group in Spain, is organizing its 9th Open Day – Recruitment Event (Mentor Plan) on September 15 and 16 in Zamudio (Biscay). The event aims to fill 30 vacancies in the Sales and Installation departments within the Basque province.

The company is organizing these sessions to enable as many interested individuals as possible to apply for these roles. During the events, DIGI’s recruitment consultants will interact with candidates and conduct in-person interviews on-site.

Through these recruitment days, DIGI aims to ensure that all attendees—regardless of whether they have experience in sales or fiber optic installation—have the opportunity not only to hand in their CVs but also to secure that crucial first face-to-face interview, which many job seekers often find difficult to obtain.

DIGI’s 9th Open Day – Recruitment Event (Mentor Program) in will take place on Tuesday, September 15, for sales vacancies, and on Wednesday, September 16, for installer positions, at the following address:

Polígono Ugaldeguren III No. 17, Ground Floor Unit 2, 48170 – Zamudio.

Buses: A2151, A2153, A3223, A3224, A3517, A3522, A3528.

Train: Euskotren Line E3

Time: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Candidates interested in participating in these meetings with DIGI’s Human Resources professionals can book a personal interview by registering for the event via this link by 4:00 PM on Monday the 14th (for sales vacancies), or via this other link by 4:00 PM on Tuesday the 15th (for installer positions).

Candidates who attend without prior registration may also hand in their CV and be interviewed, though they will have to wait for their turn, which will be determined by strict order of arrival.

Immediate employment and training plan

Anyone interested in developing a professional career in DIGI’s Sales or Installation departments is eligible for the advertised positions. The company’s recruitment specialists will interview candidates attending the event, regardless of whether they have prior experience in the roles, experience in other sectors and wish to change career paths, or no prior work experience at all and are seeking a first job as a sales representative or installer.

Upon completion of the selection process, and in line with its commitment to direct employment, DIGI will offer selected candidates immediate contracts to join the company workforce. This will include an initial theoretical-practical training plan—known as the "Mentor Plan"—designed to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties associated with each vacancy.

“As the Mentor Program enters its second year, we are very pleased with the results. Through this project, every new employee receives personal guidance during their training period, enabling them to acquire the skills and knowledge required for their specific role. It is their own colleagues who guide new hires and provide the tools necessary to perform their duties,” notes Virginia Guerrero, HR Director at DIGI Spain.

Side activities

In addition to personal interviews, DIGI’s 9th Open Day—a recruitment event centered on the Mentor Program—will feature presentations by professionals from the company’s Human Resources, Sales, and Installation departments.

During these sessions, candidates will not only learn about the specifics of the available job offers and the day-to-day realities of the roles but also gain insight into the Mentor Program—implemented by the company in 2024—which selected candidates will benefit from.
