DIGI organizes a recruitment event in Zaragoza to select 10 installer vacancies—for both experienced and inexperienced candidates—including an initial training program

DIGI Spain (DIGI), the telecommunications operator of the DIGI Communications Group in Spain, is organizing its 10th Open Day – Recruitment Event (Mentor Program) in Zaragoza on September 22. The event aims to fill 10 vacancies in the Installations department within that province.

The company is organizing this event to make it easier for interested individuals—regardless of whether they have prior fibre optic installation experience—to apply for these positions. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an initial in-person interview, an opportunity that is often difficult for job seekers to secure.

DIGI’s 10th Open Day – Recruitment Event (Mentor Program) will take place in Zaragoza on Tuesday, September 22, at the following address:

Náyade Building

C/ Bari, No. 55, 1st floor - Staircase 5, Océano Room. PLAZA Logistics Platform. 50197 – Zaragoza

Bus: 501 (Bari 57 stop)

Time: 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM

Candidates interested in meeting with DIGI’s Human Resources professionals can book a personal interview until 4:00 PM on Monday, the 21st, by registering for the event at this link.

Candidates who attend without prior registration may also submit their CVs and be interviewed; however, they will need to wait for their turn, which will be determined strictly by order of arrival. Immediate hiring and training program

Anyone interested in developing a professional career in DIGI’s installations division is eligible for these vacancies. The company’s recruiters will interview candidates attending the event, regardless of whether they have prior experience in the roles on offer, have experience in other fields and wish to pivot their careers, or have no previous work experience and are seeking a first job as an installer.

Upon completion of the selection process, and in line with its commitment to direct employment, DIGI will offer successful candidates immediate contracts. This includes an initial theoretical-practical training plan—known as the "Mentor Program"—designed to equip them with the knowledge and skills required to perform the duties associated with each vacancy.

"As we mark the second year of the Mentor Program, we are very pleased with the results. Through this project, every new employee receives personal guidance during their training period, enabling them to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge for their specific role. Colleagues themselves guide new hires and provide the tools needed to carry out their duties," notes Virginia Guerrero, HR Director at DIGI Spain.

Direct employment in Zaragoza

The operator—already the second-largest employer in the sector—conducts all business activities using its own direct workforce, offering job stability and career development opportunities for all employees.

DIGI currently has a workforce of over 11,900 employees in Spain, including more than 220 in Zaragoza.

Side activities

In addition to personal interviews, DIGI’s 10th Open Day—a recruitment event centered on the Mentor Program—will feature presentations by professionals from the company’s Human Resources and Installations departments.

These sessions will allow candidates to learn about the specific job vacancies and the day-to-day realities of the roles. They will also gain insight into the Mentor Program—implemented by the company in 2024—which successful candidates will participate in.
