DIGI organizes a recruitment event in Valencia to fill 25 job vacancies for installers and sales staff—open to candidates with or without prior experience—featuring an initial training program

DIGI Spain (DIGI), the telecommunications operator of the DIGI Communications Group in Spain, is organizing its 11th Open Day – Recruitment Event (Mentor Program) in Valencia on October 6 and 7. The event aims to fill 25 job vacancies in the Installation and Sales departments within the province of Valencia.

The company organizes this event to make it easier for as many interested individuals as possible—regardless of whether they have prior experience in fibre optic installation—to apply for these positions. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an initial in-person interview, a step that is often difficult for many job seekers to secure.

DIGI’s 11th Open Day – Recruitment Event (Mentor Program) will take place in Valencia on October 6 and 7 at the following address:

Address: Carrer de Guillem de Castro, 9. Programta 2 (Edificio Fnac). 46007 - Valencia.
Metro: Pl. Espanya y Xátiva

Bus stops: 1520 (Sant Agustí) /  2285 (Estació del Nord - Sant Agustí) / 2277 (Xàtiva - Institut Lluís Vives)
Time: de 10:00 a 12:30 h

Candidates interested in participating in these meetings with DIGI’s Human Resources professionals can book a personal interview by registering for the event via this link by 4:00 PM on Monday the 5th (for commercial area vacancies), or via this other link by 4:00 PM on Tuesday the 6th (for installer positions).

Candidates who attend without prior registration may also submit their CVs and be interviewed, though they will need to wait for their turn, which will be determined by strict order of arrival.

Immediate employment and training program

Anyone interested in developing a professional career in DIGI’s Installations division is eligible for these vacancies. The company’s recruitment team will interview candidates attending the event, regardless of whether they have prior experience in the roles offered, have experience in other fields and wish to change career paths, or have no prior work experience and are seeking a first job.

Upon completion of the selection process, and in line with its commitment to direct employment, DIGI will offer successful candidates immediate employment contracts. This includes an initial theoretical-practical training program for candidates without prior experience—known as the "Mentor Program"—designed to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties associated with each vacancy.

“As we enter the second year of the Mentor Program, we are very pleased with the results. Through this project, every new employee receives personal guidance during their training period, enabling them to acquire the skills and knowledge required for their specific role. It is their own colleagues who guide new hires and provide the tools necessary to perform their duties,” notes Virginia Guerrero, HR Director at DIGI Spain.

Direct employment in Valencia

The operator—already the second-largest in terms of workforce size—conducts all business activities using its own direct staff, offering job stability and fostering career development plans for all employees.

DIGI currently employs over 11,900 people in Spain. More than 660 of these are based in the province of Valencia, which houses not only the regional office for the Valencian Community but also one of the company’s three in-house customer service centres (alongside those in Madrid and Seville).

Side activities

In addition to personal interviews, DIGI’s 11th Open Day—a recruitment event centred on the Mentor Program—will feature presentations by professionals from the company’s Human Resources and Installations departments.

These sessions will allow candidates to learn about the specific job vacancies on offer and what the day-to-day work entails. They will also provide insight into the Mentor Program—implemented by the company in 2024—which will benefit selected candidates who lack prior experience.
