DIGI, the telecommunications operator of the DIGI Communications Group in Spain, has opened its first company-owned store in Oviedo, aiming to be closer to its customers in the city.
Located at 17 Avenida Valentín Masip and open from 10 am to 9 pm Monday to Friday and from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturdays, customers can sign up there for the fibre and mobile services offered by DIGI, such as SMART Fibre at 300 Mbps for €10 per month or DIGI TV, its television service with more than 100 channels for €7 per month for fibre customers.
They can also receive advice on which plan best suits their needs and get answers to any questions or queries about DIGI’s services.
With this opening, DIGI now has two DIGI Stores in Asturias, following the launch last September of its store in Gijón, located at 6 Calle Menéndez Valdés.
DIGI adds this company-owned store to its network of DIGI Stores, as well as to its other in-person customer service channels, including more than 4,000 retail points and DIGI stands located in most major shopping centres. Customers can also find out more via the website or by calling 1200 free of charge from the DIGI network, or 919 120 120 from another operator.
According to DIGI Spain’s Head of Marketing and Communications, Daniel Campillo: “We are pleased to announce the opening of this first store in Oviedo, which allows us to get even closer to our customers so we can offer them our best possible service; and where we are also present in support of Real Oviedo and its fans.”
Commitment to the region
With this opening, DIGI continues to strengthen its commitment to the Principality of Asturias, where the company is present with its own fibre network and where it offers PRO-DIGI, the fastest residential fibre service, with speeds of up to 10 Gbps.
DIGI has also been present in the region through its sponsorship of Real Oviedo since the 2021–2022 season, supporting both the club and its fans.
The company, which stands out for carrying out all its core business activities in-house, also reaffirms its commitment to the Principality through the creation of high-quality employment. DIGI already has more than 200 employees in the Principality of Asturias, all directly employed by the operator.
In-house employment and investment
At a national level, DIGI has more than 8,500 employees directly on its payroll, according to figures published by the company at the end of Q3 of 2024, and continues to make strong investments in rolling out the fastest fibre network in Spain (as verified by Ookla®), which now reaches 11 million households.
