DIGI, the telecommunications operator of the DIGI Communications Group in Spain, has been recognised as having the “Fastest Fibre Network in Spain” in the second half of 2024 by the prestigious Ookla®
Speedtest Awards™, the leading global speed testing platform, which collects the largest number of internet speed measurements from users in Spain each day.
With this recognition, the operator has now been the leader in fibre speed in Spain for four years, reflecting its ongoing efforts to develop cutting-edge technology and deliver its best possible service to customers.
According to Speedtest® data collected during the second half of 2024, DIGI achieved a Speed Score™ of 351.75, once again surpassing the speed recorded in the previous period.

Speed Score™ is a metric used to rank the performance of fixed broadband networks, based on the upload and download speeds reported by users.
In addition, Ookla®’s analysis highlights the low latency of DIGI’s network, providing users with an optimal browsing experience for activities such as streaming video, online gaming, videoconferencing and remote working.

The results of all these tests are published in Ookla®’s report for Spain.
“We are proud to receive this award for the fourth consecutive year, which reflects the company’s ongoing efforts to improve its infrastructure and deliver the best possible service to our customers, and motivates us to continue innovating and maintaining our position as the leading operator in fibre quality and speed in Spain,” said Marius Varzaru, CEO of DIGI Spain.
Stephen Bye, President and CEO of Ookla, added: “It is a pleasure to once again recognise DIGI as the fastest fibre network in Spain. This award highlights the exceptional quality, coverage and performance of its network, placing it among the leading operators worldwide.”
These figures are based on Ookla®’s report, which compiles Speedtest Intelligence® data collected between July and December 2024.
