DIGI, the telecommunications operator of the DIGI Communications Group in Spain, currently has more than 50 job vacancies in Catalonia to fill a range of technical and commercial positions.
Specifically, it has around 30 vacancies to fill various roles in its sales department, including stand promoters, store staff and door-to-door (D2D) sales, among others.
It is also recruiting for more than 20 additional positions in its technical department, mainly related to its fibre rollout, including roles such as line workers, splicers, installers and permitting agents.
In addition, DIGI is also hiring in Catalonia for data centre management roles and for areas such as administration, logistics and human resources.
Nationwide, the operator has more than 430 vacancies across all autonomous communities. These include more than 100 in Madrid, more than 80 in Andalusia, 40 in the Valencian Community, more than 30 in the Basque Country and more than 20 in Castilla-La Mancha.
Strong presence in Catalonia
DIGI has a strong presence in Catalonia, with a regional office headquartered in Barcelona; offices and warehouses in Girona and Tarragona; a warehouse in Lleida; and more than 1,000 direct employees at the end of the third quarter of the year.
It is also rolling out its own fibre network, Fibra SMART, meaning that more than 48% of households in Catalonia are already covered, with access as well to PRO-DIGI, its fibre service offering speeds of up to 10 Gbps, the fastest residential service in the country.
The company, which opened its first DIGI Store in Catalonia in Barcelona in 2023, has now surpassed 10 company-owned stores across the region and also has more than 20 stands in major shopping centres throughout the autonomous community.
Roles for every profile
Through these vacancies, DIGI offers job opportunities for a wide range of profiles, from juniors or graduates looking for their first role, to highly experienced professionals. Because it covers all activities across its value chain in-house, DIGI offers roles that require no specific qualifications as well as highly specialised positions. Salaries for the different roles are aligned with the qualifications and experience required for each position.
DIGI also supports employee development, growth and career progression within the company, not only by enabling mobility between departments but also by implementing a merit-based system that provides progressive improvements to compensation packages based on individual performance.
In addition, candidates without prior experience in certain technical or sales roles can benefit from the Mentor Plan, an initial theoretical and practical training programme designed to equip selected candidates with the skills and knowledge needed to carry out their roles.
Under the Mentor Plan, launched by DIGI in 2024, colleagues themselves guide and support new hires during their training period, providing them with the tools they need to perform their roles. Each new employee therefore receives personalised support to help them develop the skills and knowledge required for their new position.
Sustained employment growth
DIGI, now the second-largest employer in the sector, carries out all its business activities in-house, offering job stability and supporting career development for all its employees. The company currently has more than 10,000 employees in Spain.
So far in 2025, it has created more than 1,250 jobs, and between 2019 and 2024 it increased its workforce elevenfold (up 993%) countrywide.
