DIGI, the telecommunications operator of the DIGI Communications Group in Spain, has announced that, starting today, new SMART Fiber subscriptions, for speeds of 750 Mbps and 1 Gbps, will include a router with Wi-Fi 7 technology. This upgrade will allow customers to enjoy enhanced wireless coverage, higher speeds, lower latency, and greater capacity to connect multiple devices simultaneously, stably, and efficiently.

In this way, the operator is bringing the Wi-Fi 7 standard, which it was already installing for customers who subscribed to its 10 Gbps PRO-DIGI service, to more of its SMART Fiber plans, so that more and more users can get the most out of their internet connection. Likewise, customers within this coverage area who now subscribe to the 1 Gbps SMART Fiber plan will have access to a router with XGS-PON and Wi-Fi 7 technology, which will provide them with an additional improvement of up to 30% in wireless coverage in their homes.

In this regard, the operator confirms that the deployment of DIGI's XGS-PON technology has already reached 95% of the network coverage deployed by the company in Spain, and now, with this improvement in the Wi-Fi router, more customers will be able to enjoy a more powerful wireless internet connection.
